Retailers, manufacturers, companies, clubs, and individuals can all help ensure foster kids across the country have the essentials and little extras they need to thrive. New items such as properly fitting shoes, clothing, coats, school supplies, backpacks, hygiene items, bikes, bedroom essentials, and toys to call their own will boost self-confidence and help foster parents meet the instant needs of children that often enter care with little to no belongings.

HOW ESSENTIALS FOR KIDS HELPS FOSTER YOUTH
Foster children often enter care with only the belongings on their backs or minutes to pack a trash bag with their belongings. The foster parent stipend would need to increase by 60% to cover the average costs of raising a child and does not move at the speed children enter care. Like all kids, foster youth grow, change styles, and need everyday essentials from the moment they enter care throughout their stay.
Ticket to Dream has provided $75,000,000 in everyday essential items donated or funded by our supporters to ensure foster youth experience less trauma and can build self-confidence with the items they need to thrive.

Whether you are donating 10 backpacks or 22 pallets of excess inventory, Ticket to Dream makes it easy to help foster kids.
Our warehouse in Roseville, California, just outside of Sacramento, can accept bulk or individual donations. Our warehouse volunteers and Ticket to Dream crew get to work to count, sort, and ship an assortment of donations to over 220 charity partners across the country based on their product needs and the number of foster children they serve.
